69th Annual Workers’ Compensation Conference

The 69th Annual Workers’ Compensation Education Conference was a huge success, attracting thousands of professionals from a wide range of industries. University of South Florida (USF) OSHA Training Institute Education Center, in partnership with the USF SafetyFlorida Consultation program, was proud to offer general industry and construction industry outreach courses, allowing participants the opportunity to receive their OSHA 10-hour outreach card.

The conference kicked off with keynote speaker, Jim Kelly, an NFL Hall of Fame quarterback. His inspirational speech set the tone for the next three days of finding ways to improve the safety and health of workers. Monday evening, attendees were treated to a musical performance by Kenny Loggins and Sister Hazel. As usual, the conference was a mixture of information and fun!

The wide variety of sessions and activities offered meant several very busy days! Breakout sessions included topics such as the rehabilitation of injured workers, special circumstances of temporary staffing agencies, human resource considerations, and information for risk managers. The number of sessions and quality presenters assured there was something significant for all attendees.
The conference is held annually in August and seasoned attendees know to book early. Mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this great event in 2015!
