Hurricane Preparedness and Response

As communities work together to recover from damage caused by Tropical Storm Isaac earlier this week, it’s important to look ahead to the next major storm and develop a preparedness plan for your company if one is not already in place, or revise an existing plan. USF OTIEC offers the following courses related to disaster response and planning: Hurricane Planning, OTI 7105 Evacuation and Emergency Planning, OTI 7600 Disaster Site Worker Course, OTI 5600 – Disaster Site Worker Train-the-Trainer and OTI 5602 – Update Course for Disaster Site Worker Trainers.

If you are involved in response efforts, be sure to take a look at OSHA’s Hurricane eMatrix, which features information on hazard exposures and risk assessments for hurricane response and recovery work
